WP4 Developing a scientific model and structure for a data library to investigate medical practice variations for medical devices

WP4 is led by Hamburg Center for Health Economics, and it will develop a scientific model to analyse and explain warranted and unwarranted medical practice variations across and within different countries.

• » To develop a scientific model being capable to a) analyse and explain variations in medical practice across countries, and b) separate warranted variation from unwarranted variation;
• » To develop a structure for a data library with information on medical practice variations specifically suited to serve the developed scientific model.

• » A scientific model capable of identifying and explaining variations in medical practice use of medical devices within and between countries will be operationalized, as well as a description of the structure for data library.
